    Description:

The year is 2100. Life as we knew it is gone. Rising seas have engulfed once-thriving cities, turning them into watery graves. The rich symphony of wildlife has diminished to faint whispers, leaving only echoes of what once was.

Amid this desolation stands SAVESTUDIOS, a beacon of resilience and creativity. Their latest collection, "2100: End of the World," captures the fragile balance between humanity and nature. It merges ancient myths with scientific foresight, offering a vision of a world on the brink of collapse yet imbued with a quiet, enduring beauty. SAVESTUDIOS dares to imagine a future where destruction is not the end, but a starting point for transformation.

Their journey begins not in the future, but in the past. Along the banks of the River Thames, they join mudlarkers—modern-day scavengers searching for remnants of forgotten lives. Shards of ceramics, clay pipes, and other relics from bygone eras form the foundation of their creative process. These artifacts, weathered by time and tides, embody resilience and survival, becoming integral to the designs of the collection.

In "2100: End of the World," these historical fragments are paired with delicate, futuristic fabrics. The contrast between rough, tactile relics and soft, ethereal textiles symbolizes humanity's ability to rebuild from ruins. Each piece tells a story of destruction and renewal, bridging the past and the future in a powerful act of creative storytelling.

Through their work, SAVESTUDIOS channels the memory of a lost world while imagining a new one. Their creations celebrate the enduring spirit of life and the transformative power of art. In a time of endings, they remind us that beauty and hope can emerge from even the darkest chapters, daring us to reimagine what comes next.

    Review

"'2100: End of the World' transforms mudlarked artifacts from the Thames into a thought-provoking collection that speaks both to the loss we face and the potential for rebirth, set against the impending climate catastrophe confronting us all."
